ABOUT ALEX
Hi ! My name is Alexandra Borcila.
I need a shot of something as to write a Bio that doesn’t sound pretentious and at the same time give myself credits for being the kind loving person that I am but I don’t drink so this description takes me longer to write than I wish.
I’ve been working in fashion for fifteen years and then it was time for me to do something else because things became repetitive and I didn’t enjoy them anymore.
So I’ve started writing and interviewing others about everything I was/ am curious about and this brings me a lot of joy.
The Uncensored Mind is my diary. I write about my mental health ( vulnerable things like living with Bipolar disorder) and I became an accidental mental heath activist.
If it’s real, I love writing about it, if it makes a positive impact on the world I love to write about it, if it makes others smile or cry I love to write about it too! So on the “Uncensored mind” there are no limitations. Expect things you actually have thought of yourself but never dared to share and expect things to evolve but stay ad free.

& CONTENT CREATION
After a decade in fashion as a makeup artist, I moved behind the lens to capture soulful portraits and create content that inspires. One of my biggest skills is making clients feel comfortable in front of the camera, helping them shine visually and giving that confidence a ripple effect into everyday life.
PHOTOGRAPHY • STORYTELLING • COACHING •
It would be unfair to try to narrow myself down to one thing or fit into a job title.
The loudest thing about me is that I found my purpose and I live by it.
My purpose is to inspire and guide people to live their most authentic lives, protect their peace, build their confidence and learn how to love and be loved well.
I believe we are guided by our values, moved by love and that the quality of our relationship with ourselves and others shapes the quality of our lives.
In The Uncensored Mind, you will see how I bring this purpose to life through photography, writing and coaching on love and confidence. While these may seem unrelated at first glance, they are deeply connected. Each profession leans into the others, adding depth, perspective and meaning to everything I do.
PHOTOGRAPHY
My first creative job was as a lead makeup artist. I worked with some of the biggest brands and publications including Vogue, Glamour, Esquire, Harper’s Bazaar, Balenciaga, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Nike and Adidas.
My photography path grew out of that experience. After ten years in fashion, I decided it was time to take the camera into my own hands, build my own teams and create bigger visual stories.
I am most drawn to portrait photography. I love capturing the strengths people have, often ones they are not fully aware of. My background in fashion, my eye for detail, styling and storytelling all shape the way I portray each subject.
I like to think of my images as timeless. I want people to be able to use them in any context because they recognise themselves in them through the eye of someone who noticed it first.
